You First Advocacy is Open for Enquiries.
During the COVID_19 pandemic You First Advocacy Staff and Volunteers have continued to Advocate on behalf of those who require the Service. The You First Advocacy office has remained operational all the way through the lockdown back in March and continues to do so now. Even though we continue to operate there have been and continue to be a few changes to Advocacy Service provision.
Firstly, early on in the pandemic we closed the office to appointments. This was done to protect Staff, Volunteers and Service Users from COVID_19 and ensure the Service remained open. The change was made with great reluctance and sadness as it of great value to meet someone face-to-face and not just talk over the telephone or by email. So, for the time being there are no office-based appointments. If someone wants to use the Service please see the ‘contact us’ section on the website for the Service telephone number or fill in the online form to send us an email. An Advocate will then contact you to discuss how we can support.
The second main change to the service is that we are not able to resolve issues as quick or as easily as before the pandemic. This change to the Service has been out-with our control and has come about because other services are either working from home or are working with less staff. However, if you have an issue that you would like support with please contact us as mentioned above and we will discuss with you what you can expect given the pandemic restrictions.
Lastly, we understand this is a tough time for lots of people, in so many ways and we want to reassure you that You First Advocacy is still here speaking on your behalf and supporting you to speak on your own behalf.
