Volunteering

Volunteer Advocate Opportunity

Our Service helps vulnerable adults to have a voice in matters that concern their welfare and wellbeing. We help people to get their point across by speaking for them or supporting them to speak for themselves.

This involves our Advocates finding information, attending meetings, making phone calls or writing letters on behalf of Services Users.

Many of our Volunteer Advocates have used Advocacy as an opportunity to develop their career or as a springboard into a new career (upskill). Others have just been happy to help people in their spare time and to put something back into the community.

No formal qualifications or experience are necessary as we offer free training and ongoing support.

We provide Advocacy for:

  • Individuals with Mental Health Issues
  • Individuals with Learning Disabilities
  • Individuals with Physical Disabilities
  • Individuals 60+
